Welcome to Dr. Bette Stephenson Secondary School.
We look forward to welcoming our first group of Grade 9 and 10 students in September 2027.
As a new school, students will have a unique opportunity to help shape the traditions and culture of a growing school community. Formerly an adult learning centre, the school is being renovated and expanded to create modern learning spaces that support student success, well-being and engagement.
The school is named in honour of Dr. Bette Stephenson, a Canadian physician and Ontario’s first female Minister of Education. Her commitment to learning, leadership and community inspires the vision for this new school.
